Creating your account
Sign up, verify your email and find your feet in Ultrathink.
Ultrathink keeps the things you save in one place: links, notes, files, screenshots, voice notes and AI conversations. The AI tidies each one up afterwards, so you can capture first and sort later.
This page covers signing up, verifying your email and what you see the first time you open the app.
What you need
- An email address you can open, for the verification link.
- A web browser. The web app lives at tryultrathink.com/app.
You do not need anything else to start. The browser extension and the desktop app are optional, and you can add them later.
- Go to tryultrathink.com and click Get started free.
- Fill in the form:
- Display name: shown on your comments and on entries you share.
- Email: what you sign in with.
- Password and Confirm password.
- If someone has given you an organisation invite code, click Have an organisation invite code? and enter it. This puts you in their organisation straight away. You can skip it.
- Click Create account.
Password rules
Your password needs:
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Length | At least 8 characters |
| Upper case | At least one capital letter |
| Lower case | At least one small letter |
| Number | At least one number |
| Not common | Very common passwords are refused |
Symbols are welcome but not required. A strength bar under the field shows how you are doing as you type.
Verify your email
Ultrathink sends a verification link to your email as soon as you sign up. Until you click it, the whole app shows a Verify your email screen instead of your entries.
- Open the email and click the link in it.
- Go back to Ultrathink and click I’ve verified my email if the screen has not moved on by itself.
If the email has not arrived:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Click Resend verification email on the same screen.
- If you used the wrong address, click Sign out and sign up again with the right one.
The first time you sign in
After verification you land on All items, the list of every entry you save. It is empty at first.
A few things may appear the first time:
- A setup guide. New accounts with no entries see a short guide that offers the browser extension, the desktop app, a device key and what the AI tidy-up does on your plan. Each step is optional. If you close it, an Onboarding link stays at the foot of the sidebar so you can come back to it.
- The welcome tour. After the setup guide, a card called Welcome to Ultrathink asks you to save three things, a link, a screenshot or voice note, and a thought, and shows what Ultrathink makes of each. Click Skip if you would rather look round on your own. See The tour, What’s new and Help.
You can change which page opens when you sign in, including any view. Go to Settings > Navigation and pick a Startup page.
